On July 19, the student Frederico João Branco, president of FCT’s Students’ Union, was elected President of Faire - Academic Federation for Information and External Representation, structure representing the Higher Education Portuguese Students at international level, also including the European level, through the European Students' Union, as the only Portuguese structure belonging to it, and at Mediterranean level through MedNet: Mediterranean Network of Students, from which it is a founding member. FAIRe promotes the students unions internationalization and supports its members in training at information and technical level, thus helping them to become increasingly effective in its action. FAIRe currently represents 30 student associations from all higher education subsystems existing in Portugal, which is equivalent to 144 377 Portuguese students.
