DI and NOVA LINCS have organized a seminar about "Computational Thinking: the literacy of the XXI century. An inter-disciplinary perspective" for secondary school’s teachers that was held on May 6 at FCT NOVA.

The agenda covered three invited talks by Fernanda Ledesma (President of ANPRI), Sandra Costa Macedo (IT & Computational Thinking at school O Parque Bilingual Schools) and Sofia Reis (teacher at secondary school Emídio Navarro), about their teaching experience in the field of informatics.

In the audience there was about 30 teachers from secondary schools from Lisbon and Tagus Valley region, showing that computational thinking is of great interest for the broader educational community.

This session is part of DI and NOVA LINCS larger initiative for the dissemination and promotion of computational thinking as a fundamental skill for everyone in the coming years.  This initiative was launched in the occasion of the DI FCT UNL - NOVA LINCS Distinguished Lecture 2015 by Jeannette M.
