The course provides a solid foundation in mathematics, physics, materials science, aerodynamics, propulsion, control, and navigation, combining theoretical knowledge with strong practical and experimental components.

From the first year, students gain hands-on experience by developing and testing drones and accessing state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, such as the wind tunnel, drone flight arena, and Cascais Airport.

Program

The curriculum of the bachelor’s degree was designed to provide a comprehensive and practical education with a strong connection to industry. From the first year, students engage in courses that integrate theory and experimentation, such as drone design and testing, applied aerodynamics, and control systems.

The program also includes soft skills training and the option to complete a professional internship, fostering direct interaction with companies and ensuring a distinctive education aligned with the needs of the aerospace sector.

The course concludes with a final project that allows students to apply their knowledge to real-world challenges, preparing them for a successful career or further studies in specialized master’s programs.
