The FCT NOVA Alumni Association (A3FCT) organized, on the 26th of November, at the Hotel Aldeia dos Capuchos, an event aimed at the Alumni of the NOVA School of Science and Technology | NEW FCT.
This first big meeting promoted by the new direction of the Association intended to bring together the entire FCT NOVA community and awaken the necessary synergies for the success of A3FCT.
The event was part of the 1st A3FCT Golf Tournament, at the Aldeia dos Capuchos Golf Course, in which the partner Válter Roque, alumnus of Engineering and Industrial Management, won.
This was followed by a dinner attended by around 60 people from different degrees from the NOVA School of Science and Technology | FCT NOVA, among them the first student to graduate in Production Engineering, Virgílio Cruz Machado. Currently Dean of FCT NOVA, he recalled that “the Faculty goes beyond the limits of the Campus” and that “we have to unite to create a great community and praise the name of FCT NOVA”.
The Mayor of Almada, Inês de Medeiros, unable to be present, sent a message demonstrating her support for A3FCT and highlighting the importance of FCT NOVA for the municipality, with special emphasis on the Innovation District project.
FaCiT - FCT/UNL Solidarity Association also left a few words, drawing attention to the importance of its mission for the most needy students and recalling that, due to the pandemic, support has been lacking.
The sponsor of the 1st Golf Tournament, OSSeguros, recognized the importance of the A3FCT and demonstrated its willingness to carry out various protocols with the insurance companies it represents, with advantages for members.
