Cecília Roque appointed as Vice-Rector for Research and Advanced Training

The NOVA University Lisbon presented its new rectoral team on October 7. For the 2025–2029 term, Cecília Roque, Full Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Director and Researcher at UCIBIO – NOVA FCT, assumes the position of Vice-Rector for Research and Advanced Training.

With a distinguished career in bioengineering and widely recognized at both national and international levels, Cecília Roque brings an innovative vision to strengthen research strategies and promote high-quality doctoral training. Her leadership will enhance NOVA’s scientific capacity, fully aligned with the University’s strategic agenda, positioning it as a national and international reference in knowledge generation.

The rectoral team continues to include Júlia Seixas as Pro-Rector for Sustainability.
