Ana Catarina Arvela Correia de Baptista, a master’s student in Environmental Engineering at NOVA FCT, is one of five young researchers recognized by Fidelidade’s Impact Center for Climate Change (ICCC), which has awarded its first research grants supporting projects on climate change mitigation and adaptation.
Her project, titled “Environmental impact of pressurized metered-dose inhalers (pMDIs) and sustainable alternatives in respiratory practice in Portugal,” focuses on assessing the environmental footprint of pMDIs and identifying more sustainable options, contributing to tangible solutions with impact on both health and the environment.
This recognition highlights NOVA FCT’s role in training researchers capable of transforming scientific knowledge into innovative responses to today’s climate challenges.
