The Safetyscope project, developed by a team from NOVA FCT, was awarded first place in the Universities category of the 2025 edition of the Santander X Portugal Awards. This achievement recognises the talent, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit of our students and researchers, who continue to drive solutions that shape the future.
Safetyscope is an innovative AI-based surveillance platform, developed with the mission of becoming the leading provider of intelligent surveillance technology in Europe, setting new standards for next-generation security solutions.
Selected from hundreds of entries, the project will represent Portugal at the global final of the Santander X Global Awards. This distinction demonstrates the potential and excellence of the teaching and research carried out at NOVA FCT, as challenges are transformed into concrete solutions for society.
