Vanda M. Lourenço, professor at the Department of Mathematics and researcher at the Center for Mathematics and Applications (NOVA Math), has been selected as an Elected Member of the International Statistical Institute (ISI).

It brings together experts, academics, and professionals in statistics and related fields from over 100 countries, fostering research, interdisciplinary dialogue, and best practices in statistics globally.
Being elected as an ISI Member constitutes recognition of the international impact and relevance of the work carried out by the professor.
