Guilherme Ribeiro, a student at the NOVA School of Science and Technology (NOVA FCT), finished the European circuit of the World Surf League’s Qualifying Series as the 2026 European runner-up, earning his official qualification for the 2026 Challenger Series.
The season concluded at the Pro Taghazout Bay in Morocco, in a tight contest that went down to the final day of competition. Although eliminated before the final rounds, Guilherme remained in contention for the European title until the very end, finishing just short of first place.
This result highlights the consistency and talent of the young Portuguese surfer, who will once again represent Portugal among the world’s best in the next stage of qualification for the Championship Tour.
