The award ceremony took place in Alcochete as part of the celebrations of the Southern Region Engineer’s Day, bringing together institutional and academic representatives, including the President of the Portuguese Engineers Association, Fernando de Almeida Santos.

Established in 2023, the Merit Scholarship aims to distinguish students who demonstrate excellence, rigor, and a strong commitment to knowledge, at a time when engineering plays a decisive role in addressing global challenges such as the energy transition, digital transformation, and sustainability.

This recognition further reinforces NOVA FCT’s role in educating highly qualified engineers, equipped to lead technological innovation and contribute to a more sustainable and forward-looking society.
