Following the results of the first phase of the national higher education admissions process, NOVA FCT is seeing a rise in the number of students choosing the Caparica Campus to begin their university studies. Among the newly admitted students, 72% ranked a NOVA FCT programme as their first choice, and 613 were admitted to exactly the programme they had chosen.
Adding to this demand is the success of the School's investment in new degree programmes: the two bachelor's programmes launched this year, Aerospace Engineering and Data Science and Engineering, filled all of their available places.
NOVA FCT continues to show a strong capacity to attract students, having received 6,302 applications for the 1,206 places available in this first phase — more than five applicants for every place on offer. By the end of the process, this demand translated into 1,104 admitted students, who are now beginning a new chapter of their academic lives at NOVA FCT. Throughout the month, a range of welcome activities will take place to receive them.
