Master in Molecular Genetics and Biomedicine

Started in the academic year 2008/2009.

Objetivos

The curricular content of the MSc Degree in Molecular Genetics and Biomedicine is based on the vast pedagogical and scientific experience of Faculty Members and Researchers at the Department of Life Sciences in the fields of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics as well as in areas generally included in Biomedicine, such as Neurobiology, Immunology, Oncobiology, Human Genetics and Molecular Diagnostics.

The MSc in Molecular Genetics and Biomedicine stands out for being quite comprehensive in what concerns the subjects it covers, offering the student the possibility to choose to attend courses in very diverse scientific areas or, conversely, to build their own specialization by selecting elective courses focused on a particular scientific area. Another hallmark of this programme is having a strong practical component, since all mandatory courses and many elective ones comprehend laboratory sessions.

Teaching language: English, whenever non-portuguese speaking foreign students are enrolled
