Between 11th and 12th June the Surf National University Championship was held in the beach Ribeira D`Ilhas in Ericeira.
The NOVA Surf team was composed by the students Inês Benedito NMS | FCM, Miguel Mata NMS | FCM, Afonso Batista FCSH, Peter Weger and Kristian Sousa of NOVASBE, Afonso Soveral FCT, Bernardo Tomé FCT, Diogo Calmeiro FCT, Martim Gonçalves FCT, Ricardo Ramos FCT and Tiago Miranda FCT.
The team tried to defend the title of National University Champion obtained last year, but ended up ranked in the second place with the same points of the first place, thus wining the place of Surf University Vice-Champion 2015/2016.
