Last Lecture of Transversal Competences for Science and Technology - CTCT

The Last Lecture on "Transversal Competences for Science and Technology" (CTCT) was held on 23 February.

The FCT NOVA Dean visited one of the theoretical-practical classes of CTCT, where he expressed his appreciation for the 1st year students who chose FCT NOVA, among whom he highlighted the displaced students and expressed his appreciation for the CTCT Teachers. He said that this curricular unit, which associates soft skills issues, so important for successful access to the job market, with spreadsheet analytics - a tool of most utility in S&T area - is the first of the Intermediate Period and a differentiating factor of FCT NOVA in the national university panorama.

In CTCT, students of the 1st year of FCT NOVA take contact with areas as different as Curriculum Planning for Employability, Time Management, Teamwork, Leadership, Advanced Use of Spreadsheets, Bibliographic Research, Information Analysis, Ethics, Deontology and Communication in S&T.

In "transversal" classes with students from all the FCT NOVA courses, with weekly groups composed of 4 students of different courses and with practical, fun but demanding learning, the students realize that the professional market is waiting for themand that is from the 1st year that they should be prepared for this reality.
