Gulbenkian Prize awarded to students of the Department of Conservation and Restoration

The Gulbenkian Prize for Research Incentive 2016 Chemistry and Art was awarded to two students from the Department of Conservation and Restoration of FCT NOVA.

Paula Nabais was awarded for the work "Medieval Illumination, the Codex and its conservation: challenges to the molecular sciences, humanities and society". The student attends the Doctoral Program in Conservation and Restoration of FCT NOVA under the advisement of the Professor Maria João Melo (DCR / Requimte / LAQV).

Vera Gomes, a student of the MSc in Conservation and Restoration of FCT NOVA, under the advisement of the Professor Amélia Dionísio from IST, was awarded for the work "Alliance between science and cultural heritage built in stone: optimization of graffiti cleaning technologies''.
