FCT NOVA participates in the "FemaleTalent @ ECB Open Day"

On May 4, students Mécia Miguel  (Integrated Master in Environmental Engineering) and Vanessa Lopes (Integrated Master in Computer Science)  , participated in the "FemaleTalent @ ECB Open Day "in Frankfurt, Germany, an event promoted by the European Central Bank (ECB).

Our students had the possibility to see "inside" how they can influence the lives of more than 337 million people and why the ECB also needs Environmental Engineers as well as Finance and IT specialists. These impressions are well evident in their testimonies.

Mécia Miguel highlighted that: "During the day we had the opportunity to interact with several ECB professionals, knowing the functions they carry out, their career path and what inspires them every day. In addition, we can learn about the functioning and dynamics of a European institution. I would just like to mention that it is very positive that a European institution opens its doors to students from all over Europe. "

For Vanessa Lopes:" The participation in the Female Talent @ ECB Open Day was an excellent and inspiring opportunity. The event was surrounded by cultural diversity, from professionals working at the ECB to students and other elements of universities from all EU countries. (...) The border that separates us from these professionals has been temporarily broken through the possibility of interacting directly with the talents who work there and, in the process, the opportunities for reaching our places in this institution have been exposed. I could not have been more pleased with the organization of an event that enriched me both professionally and personally. "

Shortly, you will be able to know, in the first hand, the existing job opportunities and how to apply for them. These students want to share this information with other students and graduates of FCT NOVA in an event to schedule very soon. Stay tuned!
