NOVA School of Science and Technology team wins Almada Research Award

The «PureCleanMIP project - Clean Production of Plastic Antibodies« of NOVA School of Science and Technology's LAQV won the third edition of the Almada Research Award in the Science and Technology category.

Raquel Viveiros and Teresa Casimiro received a monetary prize of 15 thousand euros, plus a copyright trophy for their research proposal.

The Almada City Council also distinguished the project «PAPELCARE - Development of low cost colorimetric non-enzymatic diagnostic tests for detection of biomarkers», presented by Elvira Fortunato and Rodrigo Martins also from NOVA School of Science and Technology, with an Honorable Mention in the same category.

With this initiative the Almada City Council intends to boost the potential of research, as an engine of local development and to project the municipality as a territory of knowledge.
