The project “ICU4Covid Cyber-Physical Intensive Care Medical System for Covid-19”, by UNINOVA-Institute for the Development of New Technologies, was one of the 23 selected by the European Commission for funding in the context of combating the Covid-19 pandemic.

The project was qualified in the category of the development of medical technologies and digital tools to improve detection, supervision and assistance to patients - thanks, among others, to the development of new devices that allow a faster, cheaper and more diagnosis (including at distance) and new technologies that protect healthcare workers.

In total, the 23 projects selected involve 347 research teams from 40 countries, including 34 participants from 16 countries outside the European Union and will be funded by the Horizon 2020 program.
