João Parracha, a former Civil Engineering student at the NOVA School of Science and Technology, won an honorable mention from the Portuguese Association for Urban Rehabilitation and Heritage Protection - APRUPP 2020.
The dissertation entitled “Evaluation of the impact of small woodworm on old wooden structures” had as advisors Maria Paulina Faria Rodrigues (NOVA School of Science and Technology) and Lina Maria Ribeiro Nunes (LNEC).
The Award is oriented towards the recognition of merit and contribution to society in research, master's and doctoral work, relevant to the knowledge of good practices in urban rehabilitation and protection of built heritage, both in terms of architectural, heritage and urban, as associated with construction sciences and technologies.
