NOVA School of Sciences and Technology (NOVA FCT) is pleased with the provisional results of the 2023–2024 evaluation of Research and Development (R&D) Units, released on April 15 by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). These results confirm NOVA FCT’s scientific excellence and its ongoing commitment to the production of high-quality knowledge.
Of the 18 R&D units based at NOVA FCT, 15 received ratings of "Excellent" or "Very Good" and 3 "Good", surpassing the results of the previous evaluation. Notably, two units improved their classifications compared to the last evaluation exercise, reflecting sustained progress and the dedication of the teams involved.
These results reinforce NOVA FCT's position as a leading institution in scientific and technological research, making significant contributions to addressing contemporary societal challenges such as climate change, social inclusion, public health, and digital transformation.
NOVA FCT congratulates all its R&D units on the recognition achieved and reaffirms its commitment to promoting research excellence aligned with innovation and the Sustainable Development Goals.
