On Monday, July 22 at 2:30 PM, the Department of Conservation and Restoration of NOVA FCT will host a seminar with Prof. Caroline Jackson, expert in Archaeological Science, exploring the role of coloured glass in self-adornment and cultural expression during the Iron Age and Roman Britain.
The talk will focus on how ancient communities valued and manipulated strongly coloured glass, the technological challenges of its reuse, and the innovative methods local craftspeople developed to adapt to Roman tastes and materials—revealing stories of continuity, identity, and change.
