Disclaimer: The majority of the information is provided in Portuguese, as it has been specifically prepared for new students admitted through the National Call, who are native Portuguese speakers.

  

For our international students, NOVA FCT is hosting a dedicated Welcome Session on September 9, 2026, at 10 AM, in the Grand Auditorium.

This event will provide essential information, answer your questions, and support your integration into the NOVA FCT community. We look forward to welcoming you!

Now that you’ve arrived at NOVA FCT, we know that the first steps are fundamental. On this page, we’ve gathered the main resources to help you start your first year in the best way. Here you will find:

General quota

When?

1st phase: August 24 to 27, 2026

2nd phase: October 1 to 3, 2026

3rd phase: October 18 to 20, 2026

 

Where?

Online.

In the 1st phase, enrollments will be done according to the first letter of the student’s first name. Check the calendar below.

How?

  • The message you received from  Instituto para o Ensino Superior, I.P. (IES) with the result of your application provides the password you should use for online enrollment. Please read and follow the instructions below.

    The identifier consists of the identification document number registered with IES. For foreign applicants, the identifier is the internal number provided by the Ministry of Education.
    The password to use was previously communicated by IES.

  • If you did not register your mobile number in your higher education application and only provided a landline, you will be contacted by the Undergraduate and Master’s Academic Division of NOVA FCT to get access to the link and password for enrollment.

Enrollment calendar for the 1st phase:

  • August 24, 2026: Enrollment starts at 10:00 a.m. for applicants whose first name begins with the letters A to J

  • August 25, 2026: Enrollment starts for applicants whose first name begins with the letters K to Z.

  • August 26 and 27, 2028: Enrollment open to all applicants who have not previously enrolled.

  1. Contact the Support Line and provide your email and mobile number so we can register your application in CLIP;

  2. Carefully read the Online Enrollment Guide;

  3. When you receive a notification email, complete your enrollment at the following link: https://clip.fct.unl.pt/matricula.
