Statistics to improve health and the quality of healthcare. Biostatistics is applied in the study, development and research of various areas of Biology, namely Health Sciences, Medicine, Public Health and Epidemiology. It is, therefore, essential that professionals and decision-makers hold an interdisciplinary, comprehensive and consolidated knowledge that allows adequate response to the modern and complex questions that increasingly arise in the field of health data analysis, on a global scale.
This master's degree, unique in the country, takes place in a transversal research environment where students acquire fundamental theoretical and practical knowledge and skills to promote the quality of healthcare for populations.

The Master's program in Statistics in Health explores a diversity of distance teaching-learning strategies, with a strong component of the use of Information Technologies, statistical software and practical applications in real examples.
Tuition fee - Portuguese students: 1st year: 2000€ and 2nd year: 1000€
Tuition fee - Foreign students: 7000€ / year
Accepted candidates will be required to pay (within 7 consecutive days from the placement date) a non-refundable fee of €100, which will be deducted from the total tuition fee after enrolment.
Non-payment within this period will result in automatic exclusion of the candidate. No exceptions or late payments will be considered. Any payment made after the deadline will not be refunded, and the candidate will remain excluded.
