Innovation and sustainability in waste valorization
In Portugal, there has been significant public and private investment in energy production from biomass and non-toxic waste, creating new employment opportunities that require specialized training. The Postgraduate Programme in Bioenergy and Biorefineries provides this training, preparing professionals to work in the fields of bioenergy, biofuels, and waste valorization, while promoting the Circular Economy. The programme follows the ECTS system, requiring students to complete 15 to 18 ECTS through elective course units over one to two semesters.
