ToPAS Lx at the Department of Computer Science FCT NOVA

In May, it held at the Department of Computer Science FCT NOVA the first edition of "Programming Tournament for Secondary Students" in the region of Lisbon and Tagus Valley - ToPAS Lx 2016.

The first edition of ToPAS Lx had the participation of 18 teams from various secondary schools from the region of Lisbon and Tagus Valley.

This annual competition scheduled since 2003 at the University of Porto (TOPAS) and more recently, since 2011, at the University of Algarve (TOPAS SUL), aim to stimulate the capacity for problem solving, increasing the knowledge of Information Technology and dexterity programming of high school students. The competition is a test program, where 3 student’s teams from the same school have four hours to solve 7 problems.
