Vice-President of IUPAC celebrates the Periodic Table at FCT NOVA

In the framework of the celebration of the International Year of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements (IYPT), FCT NOVA welcomes Christopher Brett, Professor of Chemistry at the University of Coimbra, who will present the lecture "IUPAC and its role in the International Year of the Periodic Table", to be held on February 20 at 2:00 pm in the FCT NOVA Library Auditorium.

Current Vice President of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC), Christopher Brett is a member of the IYPT Organizing Committee and the IUPAC Centennial celebrations, which take place in 2019.

The intervention, integrated in the Elemental Talks on the Periodic Table promoted by the Department of Chemistry and the Library of FCT NOVA, highlights the importance of the Periodic Table in the advancement of knowledge and in technological applications.

On the same day, Professor Christopher Brett inaugurates the Periodic Table in patchwork, work resulting from the challenge launched to the community of FCT NOVA.
