BEST Almada, student organization of the NOVA School of Science and Technology, run once more the first stage of the European BEST Engineering Competition (EBEC).
EBEC is one of the largest competitions for engineering students in the world, challenging students from all over Europe to test their creative and communication skills.
The event happens in three phases (local, nacional/regional and European), and will have one of its initial stages here in Almada between 14 and 18 March. “We provide the NOVA School of Science and Technology students the opportunity to apply and develop the knowledge they acquire at the Faculty”, explains the organization.
The winners of the first round will subsequently compete at national level. If they pass, they will meet with European engineering students in the final, which this year will take place in Warsaw.
The Local Group BEST Almada is a student organization founded in 2002 and in the following year it was officially part of the BEST community. Among the group's objectives are the promotion of exchange, knowledge and broadening of the horizons through the creation of opportunities like courses, engineering competitions and career-related events.
