Susana Duarte, Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering and Researcher at UNIDEMI, was awarded the “Teaching Excellence Award” from the IEOM Society International.
The distinction was granted during the 4th European conference dedicated to the theme "Industrial Engineering and Operations Management", which took place between the 2nd and 5th of August, in Rome.
The award aims to recognize and value the exceptional contribution in Teaching and Learning and Service to the Industrial Engineering and Operations Management profession.
IEOM Society’s core purpose is to globally foster critical thinking and its effective utilization in the field of Industrial Engineering and Operations Management by providing means to communicate and network among diversified people, especially in emerging countries, motivated by similar interests.
