Paula Videira wins NOVAhealth Chronic Disease and Infection Grant 2022

The GlyCOVID - Impact and Infection of SARS-CoV-2 in Congenital Disorders of Glycosylation (CDG) project, coordinated by Paula Videira, professor and researcher at the Department of Life Sciences at NOVA School of Science and Technology (FCT NOVA), was the winner of the NOVAsaúde Chronic Disease and Infection 2022 Grant.

The winning project team also includes Sofia Coroadinha from ITQB, Helena Soares from NMS and Daniela Barreira from FCT NOVA.

The NOVAsaúde Chronic Disease and Infection Research Grant, which in the year 2022 had Long-Covid as its general theme, is an initiative of the Chronic Disease and Infection Group within the NOVAsaúde interdisciplinary platform of NOVA University Lisbon and is supported by Pfizer.

The research challenge of this fellowship is to contribute to a better understanding of the forces and dynamics between infection and chronic diseases, in order to develop and obtain better and more sustainable solutions to problems related to infection and chronic diseases through the promotion of knowledge and awareness, based on science and evidence.
