NOVA FCT has been awarded the Medal of Honour of the Municipality of Cascais, a distinction that acknowledges the institution’s contribution to the scientific, academic, and social development of the region.
“This medal is proof of the positive impact we strive to have on society. It is also an incentive to continue investing in science, innovation, and the education of citizens prepared to face future challenges,” said José Júlio Alferes, Dean of NOVA FCT, during the ceremony.
This honour publicly recognises NOVA FCT’s ongoing work in promoting knowledge, academic excellence, and community engagement — values that align with the Faculty’s mission and its commitment to society.
The medal was awarded on June 7th, in Praça 5 de Outubro, Cascais, as part of the Municipality Day celebrations.
