Pedro Casinha, a student at NOVA FCT, has just won the title of World Champion in the Men’s U23 K2 500 meters, alongside teammate Gustavo Gonçalves.
The Portuguese duo stood out at the ICF Junior & U23 Canoe Sprint World Championships, held in Montemor-o-Velho, from July 23 to 27.
This gold medal represents not only an outstanding sporting achievement but also a source of pride for the entire NOVA FCT academic community, which celebrates the talent, dedication, and resilience of its students, both inside and outside the classroom.
