Startup founded by FCT NOVA Professors is one of the winners to represent Portug

Nano4Global, co-founded in 2015 by Alexandra Fernandes e Pedro Viana Baptista, Principal researchers at UCIBIO, FCT-NOVA, was one of the 66 Portuguese start-ups selected to represent Portugal at the Web Summit.

FCT NOVA Professors direct the edition of "Dyes and Pigments" number

Professor Carlos Lodeiro and Jose Luis Capelo from the Bioscope Group, FCT NOVA Chemestry Department, and CEOS of the Scientific Association PROTEOMASS, coordinated the editing of a special issue of the Journal "Dyes and Pigments" published by Elsevier.

Pedro Barquinha, Professor and Researcher FCT NOVA receives ERC Starting Grant

Pedro Barquinha, graduated at FCT NOVA in Materials Engineering and currently Assistant Professor of the Department of Material Science and CENIMAT/I3N researcher, received a Starting Grant from the European Research Council (ERC) for the project "TREND - Transparent and flexible electronics with embedded energy harvesting based on oxide nanowire devices".

Agreement signed between Frontier IP and NOVA FCT

On 14 September, at the FCT NOVA Library, the agreement between Frontier IP was signed between the Professor Fernando Santana (Dean FCT NOVA) the CEO of Frontier IP, Neil Crabb,  and the British Ambassador in Portugal, Kristy Hayes.

New Students Integration 2016/17

FCT NOVA received on September 14th Portugal’s Prime Minister, Dr. António Costa, and the Minister for Science, Technology and Higher Education, Professor Manuel Heitor, that visited various laboratories and classrooms where actions were taking place with the main objective of hosting and integrating FCT NOVA’s new students.
