Geological Engineering is a branch of Engineering that applies principles, concepts, and techniques from the Geological Sciences to solve engineering problems involving the Earth and its functioning as a geodynamic system.
The search for and exploration of natural resources, issues related to proper regional and urban planning, and the resolution and mitigation of resulting environmental problems are some of the core activities of the Geological Engineer.
The Master’s in Geological Engineering (MEG) aims to train specialists capable of applying engineering solutions — in both surface and underground interventions — involving rock masses, soils, groundwater, georesources, and waste. These solutions contribute to sustainable development and adaptation to climate change.
These scholarships, worth 450 euros, are available to all students from the School or other Higher Education Institutions who are applying for the first time to the first year of a Master’s programme at NOVA FCT and have a final undergraduate grade of 15 or higher.
