UNESCO creates the chair of Materials Science and Engineering

Thanks to the efforts made by the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS), UNESCO created the chair of Materials Science and Engineering, whose worldwide global management is in charge of E-MRS. Through its general secretary, Paul Siffert, Professor Rodrigo Martins, from FCT’s  Department of Materials Science, is the responsible for the European Affairs,  as well as the President of E-MRS’  Senate and Chairman of E-MRS European Affairs.
