Professor Elvira Fortunato receives "APIGRAF Prestige Award"

Professor Elvira Fortunato was awarded the prestigious prize awarded by the Portuguese Association of Graphic Industries and Papermakers, 2017 APIGRAF (http://www.apigraf.pt/premios-apigraf-2017-conheca-os-vencedores/ ) for her work on the paper transistor. The previous winners of this award were Dr. Pinto Balsemão and Professor Eduardo Lourenço, with Elvira Fortunato being the first woman to receive this distinction. The award ceremony took place on December 6 at the Marriot Hotel in Lisbon.

On December 5, Professors Elvira Fortunato and Rodrigo Martins were awarded a career prize for pioneering scientific work in the areas of transparent electronics and electronic paper by the ProteoMass Society during the 2nd International Caparica Christmas Congress on Translational Chemistry, held from 4 to 7 December in Costa da Caparica, Portugal (http://www.ic3tc2017.com/).
