Smartphones in the classroom increase productivity

"The ban on smartphones in the classroom slightly improves grades, but using them as part of the learning process improves grades even more" this is the conclusion of the research made by Pedro Ferreira, Associate Professor at Heinz College and at the Department of Public Policy Engineering of the Carnegie Mellon University.  

The Professor and Researcher is studying the impact of information and communication technologies on education and peer influence and consumption in the media industry and comes to FCT NOVA to talk about this and other conclusions of his work.  

The meeting is scheduled for January 8 at 11:00 am in the FCT NOVA Library Auditorium.
