NOVA School of Science and Technology researchers win entrepreneurship contest in Blue Bio-Economy


The researchers Carla Silva and João Pequeno from MARE NOVA were part of one of the winning teams of the Blue Bio Value Ideation, which took place on the 25th and 26th of September at the Porto Business School. 

The event, organized by BGI in partnership with BLUEBIO ALLIANCE and with the Oceano Azul Foundation and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation as promoters, has as its main objective the development of ideas and projects in the area of the blue bio-economy. 

The team, also composed of Florian Justus (Deutsche Bank) and António Mello (IST), developed an idea for the application of natural bio-resources and their use in industry, and will now have access to mentoring and specialized monitoring for the development of the project. and creating a StartUp.
