"I chose the Master in Actuarial Mathematics because it distinguished itself by its practical, computational component and by having a set of experienced teachers in the area of Actuarial Science", explains Margarida Francisco. The student is the winner of the first Merit Scholarship for Master's students offered by ClubeMath.
"Even before finishing my degree in Mathematics Applied to Risk Management at FCT NOVA, I knew right away that this was the area in which I wanted to continue my studies. The proximity to all the teachers and the incredible atmosphere at FCT NOVA were also two factors that influenced my choice to continue in this faculty", adds the student.
This is the first time that the ClubeMath merit scholarships include students from the second cycle of studies. This Mathematics Club for primary and secondary school students exist since 2007 and, since 2015, it has provided merit scholarships to the best students to enter one of the Mathematics undergraduate degrees of NOVA School of Science and Technology. This year, the Club opened the doors to the Master's programmes in Mathematics at FCT NOVA, promoting the graduation of more qualified professionals in the area. Learn more about this club here.
