05-06-2025

José Paulo Mota, professor at the Department of Chemistry, was recently elected Vice-President of the International Adsorption Society, in recognition of his scientific contributions and active involvement in the field.

This society brings together researchers from around the world working in industry, academia, and government, with the goal of advancing the field of adsorption — from the fundamental molecular thermodynamics of adsorption phenomena to the design of industrial separation processes and the application of adsorption in nanotechnology.

The election took place during the 15th International Conference on the Fundamentals of Adsorption (FOA15).
