Reinhard Kahle, integrated member of CMA, starting at 1.1.2015, was elected member of the "Académie Internationale de Philosophie des Sciences". The election was held at the general meeting which took place on September 12, 2014 at Pont-à-Mousson, France. He is the first member of the academy from an University in Portugal.
The Academy was founded in 1949, with domicile in Brussels, Belgium, and it can count with Paul Bernays, Luitzen Brouwer, and Hermann Weyl as founding members, leading representatives of the working field of mathematical logic in the last century.
