Márcia Vilarigues, Ângela Santos, Vanessa Otero and Beatriz Rodrigues, from NOVA School of Science and Technology's Department of Conservation and Restoration (DCR), were recently distinguished for their work “Technology and Preservation of painted glass slides for projection with Magic Lanterns” with “Special Commendation” Prize "from the" Mervyn Heard Award 2019 "by the Magic Lantern Society.
In addition to this award, Paula Nabais, also from DCR, won the American Chemical Society sponsored best shotgun presentation award at the "3rd International Caparica Christmas Conference on Translational Chemistry 2019". A conference that crosses the frontiers of chemistry to show its centrality in society with its cutting-edge applications.
