NOVA School of Science and Technology student wins Vinnakota award, USA

Nuno Peres, PhD student at the NOVA School of Science and Technology, was awarded the “Sarada M. and Raju A. Vinnakota” Award by the Structural Stability Research Council, USA.

The winning article theme was "A geometrically exact curved thin-walled beam finite element accounting for cross-section deformation" and was supervised and co-authored by professors Rodrigo Gonçalves and Dinar Camotim.

The award is presented during the "Annual Stability Conference" and aims to distinguish the most promising students performing research in structural stability.
