NOVA School of Science and Technology saw 40 grants approved for three activities within the scope of the extraordinary support "Verão com Ciência"(Summer with Science) promoted by the Foundation for Science and Technology, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Higher Education, in a financing that reaches almost 100 thousand euros.
The "LAQV-NOVA Summer School - Initiation to Research in Green Chemistry", the "UCIBIO-NOVA Summer School - Initiation to Research in Applied Biomolecular Sciences" and the "LIBPhys Summer School: Applied Nuclear Physics" will introduce students from Bachelor's, Master's and pre-doctorate to scientific research practices. Students from these Schools will develop or participate in an experimental project, develop skills in science communication, critical analysis of results, critical thinking and teamwork. This special support guarantees 40 scholarships study to participate in these programs.
Verão com Ciência is a special support to “Summer Schools” in Polytechnics and Universities in the summer of 2020, with on-site activities by students, teachers and researchers, including innovative solutions associated with the Economic and Social Stabilization Program, in response to the COVID pandemic -19.
