NOVA School of Science and Technology participates in a platform that aims to help municipalities comply with sustainable development objectives

The NOVA School of Science and Technology, through the MARE research center, collaborates in the ODSlocal project, which will be launched on November 11 at the Centro Cultural de Belém, in Lisbon, and which has the High Sponsorship of the Presidency of the Republic.

The project, a world pioneer, consists of a digital platform that aims to promote good practices and civic participation to help municipalities to meet the sustainable development goals for 2030 defined by the UN.

Promoted by the National Council for the Environment and Sustainable Development, in addition to MARE, it has the participation of the OBSERVA research center of the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon and the startup 2adapt.

With the support of the La Caixa Foundation, the project has already had its pilot phase in the municipalities of Bragança, Cascais (Lisbon district), Castelo de Vide (Portalegre), Coruche (Santarém), Loulé (Faro), Seia (Guarda) and Viana do Castelo.
