MARE's researcher and professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences and Engineering was once again recognized for her career dedicated to environmental causes. In 2019, she was bestowed the “Iconic Women Creating a Better World for ALL” at the International Women Economic Forum, which distinguishes women who work to create a better world.
The Oceano de Esperança project is promoted by Visão magazine in partnership with Rolex.
