Annual meeting of the members of the Sustainable Campus Network, Portugal, at the end of CCS 2020 (30.10.2020)
NOVA School of Science and Technology (FCT NOVA) was one of the public Higher Education Institutions (HEI) participating in the 2nd Sustainable Campus Conference (CCS 2020), an event promoted by the Sustainable Campus Network, Portugal (RCS), organized by the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, which took place on October 30, 2020.
The CCS2020 Conference, under the theme “Smart Initiatives for a Sustainable Campus”, celebrated the initiatives and innovation that HEI's in Portugal are developing in favor of Sustainability on campuses, as well as promoting reflection, debate and exchange of ideas on the role of Higher Education in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) of the 2030 Agenda.
Present at this 100% virtual conference were several NOVA School of Science and Technology community members, namely: Joana Santos, representing Sustainable FCT NOVA with the communication entitled "Sustainable FCT NOVA Strategy: Initiatives to make a + Sustainable Campus"; Antje Disterheft, researcher at CENSE, as Moderator of Parallel Sessions; Sandra Caeiro, of CENSE, as moderator of sessions and with the communications "A massive open online course on Education for Sustainable Development: Evaluation of an Experience", "Perceptions and attitudes of young people about Sustainable Development: the case of a partnership between HEI's and the Schools in Beira Baixa" and, "Assessment of a pilot experience of teaching sustainability through everyday life in european university students"; Carla Farinha, from CENSE, as a member of the CCS 2020 Program Commission; and Ana Moreira, professor of the Department of Informatics at FCT NOVA and researcher at NOVALINCS, as an active member in several RCS Working Groups.
On the eve of the Conference, on October 29, 2020, the Pre-Event took place, which brought together the various Working Groups of the Network in a moment of sharing and reflection. At this meeting, it was possible to make known the work done by the groups during the last academic year and to plan the activities to be developed in the academic year 2020-21.

The next edition of the Sustainable Campus Conference (CCS 2021) will take place on 28 and 29 October 2021, organized by the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon.
