NOVA University Lisbon once again awarded with the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education

15-01-2021

NOVA University Lisbon was once again awarded with the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education. This recognition by the European Commission, in force for the period 2021-2027, assigns a quality certificate to the awarded Higher Education Institutions, for European and international cooperation activities.

The attribution of an Erasmus Charter is a prerequisite for all European higher education institutions wishing to participate in the individual mobility component for learning purposes or in cooperation towards innovation and sharing of good practices.

NOVA is one of the founding institutions of the Erasmus Program, with an active participation since 1987. In the last multiannual period (2014-2020), NOVA was involved in 83 Erasmus projects (Individual Mobility, Strategic Partnerships, Capacity Building, Knowledge Alliances, Jean Monnet Chairs and Joint Masters Erasmus Mundus), 27 of them as coordinator - with an overall responsibility over 14M euros - still acting in the remaining 56 as a beneficiary partner.
