Almada distinguishes young talents from the NOVA School of Science and Technology

The Green Menu, the C-MO - Revolutionizing Cough Monitoring and Tiago Pereira Rodrigues were distinguished last June 30 with the Young Talents award, promoted by the Almada Muncipality.

The contest that aims to encourage, recognize and distinguish the projects and courses of young people from Almada, highlighted two projects and an athlete who made their course at the NOVA School of Science and Technology.

The Green Menu, a project that includes the participation of João Pedro Gouveia, Miguel Sequeira and Pedro Palma, won in the Knowledge category. The CENSE researchers developed a platform to support the sustainable renovation of buildings, as part of the European project "PAS2020" financed by the EIT Climate-KIC.

C-MO - Revolutionizing Cough Monitoring won the award in the Entrepreneurship category. Former Biomedical Students at the NOVA School of Science and Technology | FCT NOVA, devised a innovative way to monitor cough. Alexandra Lopes, Diogo Tecelão, Filipe Valadas, Miguel Andrade and Sara Lobo have developed a small, reusable and washable adhesive that is placed on the abdomen to monitor coughing 24 hours a day. The project started while students at the Faculty and has been gaining national and international recognition.

The student of Cellular and Molecular Biology at the NOVA School of Science and Technology and target practice, Tiago Pereira Rodrigues, was one of the finalists in the sport category.
