On the occasion of the 85th Anniversary of the Ordem dos Engenheiros, the OE Gold Medal was awarded posthumously to Fernando Santana, former Dean of the NOVA School of Science and Technology.

The Gold Medal of the Ordem dos Engenheiros was also awarded to Elvira Fortunato, professor and researcher at the Department of Materials Science, for her academic and professional career.

At the ceremony, which took place on 27 November, Fernando Santana was also honored for his professional career with the attribution of the “OE 85 Years Trophy” by the "Colégio de Engenharia do Ambiente" received by his son, Eng.
