Celebration of 45 years of NOVA School of Science and Technology


The Grand Auditorium of the Caparica Campus was once again the stage for the celebrations of the 45th anniversary of the NOVA School of Science and Technology | FCT NOVA. This year the session was attended by the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education.

The audience had the opportunity to hear Paulo Ferreira da Silva, CEO of Renova, guest speaker of the event, who inspired the audience with his success story.

Ana Luísa Costa, student who got the best entry grade in one of FCT NOVA's undergraduate programs, explained the reasons why she chose to study in our Faculty.

The program also included the presentation of school awards and merit scholarships to the best students at FCT NOVA, the celebration and renewal of agreements, and a tribute to the teachers and collaborators who have been at the School's service for 30 years.

Those who were present had the opportunity to watch a performance by the Almada Dance Company, which graced the audience with an excerpt from the play SubRosa. The play "Lesson", by Ionesco, brought by the New Theater Nucleus, was another of the moments that marked the day.

The session took place on November 16th and was attended by the Magnificent Rector, João Sáàgua, the Dean of FCT NOVA, José Júlio Alferes, the President of the Students' Association, Edgar Coimbra, the Department Presidents, the Coordinators of the Research Centers, representatives of partner companies and friends.
